As a father to two wonderful daughters whose grandparents live in different countries, Nick Walker wanted to build something that fostered genuine family closeness despite physical distance.
Ralai is his answer, built to keep his own family connected by creating an ecosystem that spans beyond time zones.
He brings 25 years in subscription billing (Zuora, Kenan) and royalties/rights management (Real Software). His background gives Shared Slate the deep operational insight they need for monetization strategies, IP licensing structures, and publisher contracts.
Meet Ceda
Ceda sets out to build what doesn't yet exist. Complex, real-time data already describes human connection - she just makes it feel seamless. She brings 15 years working across multi-cloud systems engineering, ML/AI product architecture, and extensive integrations.
Ceda designed the Literary Engine and the Companion Engine and has built the entire inference pipeline from the ground up.
With her own family living countries away, real-time, shared reading across any distance was an obvious solution.
